Nordstrom Awards Another $10,000
to CHOICES Education Group

Nordstrom has once again awarded $10,000 for CHOICES program delivery in two regions - Arizona and the Pacific Northwest. $5,000 will be applied in each location once the funds have been received. These awards brings the total of Nordstrom’s support over the past seven years to more than $260,000 in 21 states, supporting delivery of CHOICES to more than 64,000 students. THANK YOU NORDSTROM! New Facebook Group Launched for CHOICES Presenters and
Program Managers

NOTE to Program Managers: Please forward this announcement to all your CHOICES presenters so they can get connected to the national CHOICES community!

We are delighted to announce our new CHOICES Facebook Group called “Friends of CHOICES,” a place for CHOICES Presenters and Program Managers to share experiences about CHOICES workshop delivery. Feel free to share your presenting ideas, techniques and questions, as well as comments from teens, the personal impact of CHOICES on your life and/or career, photos, etc. If you are already a Facebook member you can simply search “Groups” for “Friends of CHOICES” and request permission to join us. We’ll think it over and let you know :-). If you are not a Facebook member – get with the program…literally!

Ramping up CHOICES for April’s Financial Literacy Month

As you may know, April is National Financial Literacy Month, and April 21 is National Teach Children to Save Day. Since CHOICES has a financial literacy component through the Money Management exercise, we would like to encourage all CHOICES program sites to schedule as many CHOICES presentations as possible in April, and especially on Tuesday, April 21. In addition, please let us know of any and all presentations you have scheduled, and also let your local news services know so they can help you spread the word. Finally, let us know of any publicity you generate in this regard so we can share it with the national CHOICES community. Thanks, and have a great month of service to our nation’s teens!
